The planners of WIC have secured a group rate of $219/night, plus a $10/night resort fee which includes: toll fee, credit card, and local calling; entrance to fitness center; in-room high-speed Internet access; in-room coffee and tea; overnight self-parking; access to resort water theme park; and daily newspaper. You are responsible for making your own hotel reservations. To receive the discounted rate, call the hotel and reference “Woodworking Industry Conference 2017” or “WIC2017.” You may also make your reservations online.
Your association blocks hotel rooms for attendees to ensure lower room rates for all attendees and discounted meeting facility rates. Reserving a room in the association block supports the association and enables all attendees to enjoy a less expensive and expanded conference. We encourage all WIC participants to stay at the conference hotel so that we can continue to provide a cost effective experience.

Golf – $135/person
Meet 6,400 yards of golf pleasure when you take to the three distinct courses at Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa. 27 holes of championship golf on three distinct rotations – North, South and West – wind through palm tree-lined fairways and gently rolling terrain, surrounded by amazing views of the San Jacinto and San Bernardino mountains. Six lakes and the infamous Ted Robinson bunkers raise the stakes for amateurs and professionals alike.

Palm Springs Aerial Tram Tour – $75/person
The Palm Springs Aerial Tram on Mt. Jacinto is a true adventure. It was the dream of a young electrical engineer named Francis F. Crocker to “go up there where it’s nice and cool”. Construction of the Tramway was an engineering challenge and was soon labeled the “eighth wonder of the world.” The superlative was earned because of the ingenious use of helicopters in erecting four of the five supporting towers over a two-year period in the early 1960s. Some 20 years later, the Tramway was designated an historical civil engineering landmark. Along with the cable span, the tri-level Mountain Station, with its stunning views of the valley, stands as a fine example of the design work of E. Stewart Williams, who was instrumental in the modernist movement and development of Palm Springs as a truly special destination.
The rotating cable cars are the most advanced in the world (the only two in North America) and they guide passengers 2 1/2 miles up the mountainside to a height of 8,516 feet using a push/pull method. Each ride up the hill to the Mountain Station will be met with a cable car on the opposite side of the cable returning to the Valley Station.
Once at the top of the Aerial Tramway, the Mount San Jacinto State Park and Wilderness offers 54 miles of hiking trails. Trails range from the awe-inspiring five and one-half mile trek to the 10,804-foot peak of San Jacinto to the just over one mile nature walk through picturesque Long Valley, located just behind the Tram’s Mountain Station. For the less active guests, a continuous reel movie about the building of the tram, gift shop, 2 restaurants and a lounge to enjoy lunch/dinner/refreshments and several viewing terraces located at the Mountain Station. This trek to the top of our famous mountain is truly a singular experience!

WIC 2017 will be host to the 6th annual WIC 5K walk/run event. It doesn’t matter if you walk or run the course; come out and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and cheer on your fellow attendees!
