Total U.S. nonfarm employment grew in June for the 57th consecutive month as 223,000 jobs were created, though decelerating slightly from the 254,000 jobs that were created the previous month. In addition, job totals were revised downward for the previous two months by a combined 60,000. June’s tally marked the 14th time in the last 16 months that job gains surpassed the 200,000 level.
