The Homestead's Old Course
Thursday, May 8
1:00 p.m. Shotgun Start

Recently named among the World's Top 5 Golf Resorts by Conde Nast Traveller magazine and ranked No. 1 in Virginia by Golf Digest, few golf courses offer settings as stunning as those found at The Homestead in Hot Springs.

The Homestead's Old Course offers fun on the links with rambling greens surrounded by lush Allegheny Mountrain forest. Completed in 1892, The Old Course enjoys the distinction of having the nation's oldest first tee in continuous use.

However, as the game has evolved over time, so has The Old Course - with updates by William S. Flynn and Rees Jones. Abundant fairway contouring gives most shots a side hill, uphill, or downhill lie to smallish greens, making approach shots interesting for golfers of all skill levels.

  • Donald Ross - designed, 6,211 yard, par-72 course
  • Build in 1892 as a six-hole course, expanded to 18 holes by 1913
  • Legendary No. 1 tee, the nations oldest tee still in continuous use.
  • Recipient of approximately $1million in improvements, overseen by Rees Jones, in 1994.
