General Information

Cancellation Policy
A $95 cancellation fee will be deducted for written cancellations for convention registrations postmarked by October 10, 2008. No refunds will be issued after October 10, 2008. Dinner ticket fees for the optional event are fully refundable through October 20, 2008. No refunds will be given following this date.

Ground Transportation

Reagan National Airport
Gaylord National Resort is just a 15-minute drive from Reagan National Airport and within a 45-minute drive from Dulles and Baltimore Washington International Airports . Shuttle and taxi service are available from either airport to the hotel.

Upon arrival at the airport, follow signs for Ground Transportation to SuperShuttle or call 800.BLUE-VAN (258.3826) to reserve your space before your arrival. The cost to Gaylord National Resort is $18 from Reagan National; $32 from Dulles International and $39 from Baltimore Washington . Super Shuttle runs every 30 min. from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Taxi service from Reagan National to the Gaylord National Resort is approximately $20; from Dulles International $55; and from Baltimore Washington $65.

Parking
Valet parking is available to all overnight guests at the cost of $24 per night. The charge to self-park for a 24-hour period is $19 per night, with in and out privileges.

Attire
Dress for all events, including the Closing Reception & Dinner, is business casual. Suggested attire for men includes slacks and sport shirts with no tie; for women, suggested attire includes slacks/skirts, pantsuits or a casual dress.

Spouse/Guest Events
While you're busy attending the events of the day, your spouse or guest is invited to participate in any of NBMDA's planned activities. The spouse/guest registration fee includes the following: (2) breakfasts, luncheon, Book Club, City Tour, Welcome Reception and Closing Reception & Dinner.

Spouse/Guest Book Club
Wednesday, November 12, 2008
2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Each spouse/guest that registers for the Convention will be sent a book to read which has been selected by the spouses on the Convention Planning Committee. The book will be a quick-read to ensure that everyone will have sufficient time to complete it prior to the function. The group will gather in a comfortable setting to openly discuss and critique the book. Participation is optional. This is a fun way to meet new people and engage in stimulating conversation. Light refreshments will be provided. A $100 shopping gift certificate will be raffled with all attending spouses/guests eligible to win.

Spouse/Guest City Tour
Thursday, November 13, 2008
11:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Become a part of Washington , D.C. 's most historic landscape and feel history come to life as you visit some of the United States most beloved sites. NBMDA will provide transportation to the National Mall, where you will spend the day on your own self-guided tour. Make plans to visit Capital Hill, the White House, Potomac River, Smithsonian, National Air & Space Museum or the Holocaust Memorial Museum . Of course, no tour of Washington , D.C. would be complete without a visit to the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans

Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial, which are all within walking distance of the National Mall. Transportation back to the Gaylord National Resort, as well as entry fees to attractions are the responsibility of the spouse/guest. For more information on what to see, visit www.washington.org.
