Association Education Alliance

NBMDA is a current active member of the Association Education Alliance, LLC.  Formed in 1991, AEA  now represents 43 industrial trade associations who work to identify, evaluate and develop educational products and programs for use by member associations as well as to facilitate networking and idea sharing among AEA members.

Boxwood Online Career Centers

NBMDA and Boxwood partnered to provide NBMDA members with access to the Distribution Career Center. Boxwood is the number one provider of online career centers for associations, providing hundreds of career centers to associations world wide.

Caliper

Caliper is a human capital management company that helps companies select and develop top performers through hiring and selection, employee development and organizational development.

Evergreen Consulting LLC

Evergreen Consulting is a specialized consulting firm advising the wholesale distribution channel. Through a partnership with NBMDA, Evergreen Consulting provides members with comprehensive and innovative solutions focused on strategic pricing, profitability improvement, strategic planning and execution, sales effectiveness and acquisition facilitation services.

 

Habitat for Humanity

NBMDA began a relationship with Habitat for Humanity to promote Habitat's ReStores and the two organization's shared values of community involvement, housing opportunities and environmental stewardship.  NBMDA members can donate materials and products to the Habitat ReStore in their trade area, which promotes the reuse and recycling of those materials.

Institute for Trend Research

NBMDA partnered with the Institute for Trend Research (ITR) to develop a series of customized economic reports produced exclusively for NBMDA members. Produced four times per year by ITR Senior Economists, the NPTA Economic Outlook Report correlates macroeconomic data to specific product categories directly related to the building materials industry.

Multiview

NBMDA partnered with MultiView Inc., the leading publisher of Online Supplier Directories (OLSD) for associations, to deliver the twice-monthly Channelwatch e-newsletter. MultiView offers state-of-the-art technology solutions that aggregates industry news and packages it with association-related content for distribution to NBMDA members and prospects.

National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors

Through its affiliation with the Washington DC-based National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW), NBMDA members are kept informed of all government legislation, which could potentially impact their business.

 

Profit2

Profit2 provides specialized analytical tools and a proven methodology to enable distributors to increase gross margin by +1.5 to 2.0 "points" within 6 months, without any negative impact on sales.  NBMDA members get access to Profit2 analysis for their companies at a discounted rate. 

Profit Planning Group

Profit Planning Group (PPG) helps small to mid-size businesses increase profits by understanding the financial side of their operations.  NBMDA partners with PPG to produce an employee compensation survey, which helps firms target salary and bonus levels for key employees as well as identifying essential fringe benefit programs.

SmithBucklin

As a client of the nation's largest professional association management firm, SmithBucklin, NBMDA members receive access to an extensive pool of knowledge and expertise in all areas of organizational management. SmithBucklin's Distributor Association Alliance brings NBMDA members closer to other distributor associations in order to share ideas and reduce expenses.

 

 WarehouseTWO

Through NBMDA's partnership with WarehouseTWO, an internet-based inventory sharing solution, members can access an online community of authorized distributors handling the same branded products as themselves.  This community of like-distributors can be leveraged by members to source items needed to fill customer's needs and/or post slow-moving items from their current inventory.
